Dear VMD-L,
I'm happy to announce that the fourth public alpha version
of VMD 1.4 is available at the VMD web site under the VMD 1.4
specific web pages:
http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/vmd-1.4/
This release of VMD adds more functionality to the Windows version
that wasn't there previously, particularly several fixes to the
Windows event handling code so that the Windows version of VMD
now sets and restores the mouse cursor more appropriately, handles
window size changes correctly, along with fixes to mouse button press
event handling.
Please report insallation problems and/or bugs that are not already
listed on the VMD 1.4a4 Windows release notes page:
http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/vmd-1.4/relnotes.html
We are only releasing precompiled binaries for Windows this time,
as that is where most of the significant changes have taken place
in this version. We'll build another set of Unix binaries with
the next release, which should be in a week or two.l
Thanks for using VMD!
