Hi Ramesh,
Looks like you're using an ATI Radeon chipset in that thinkpad,
in which case I'd recommend installing an ATI-provided video driver
rather than using the Mesa/DRI/Tungsten driver you appear to be using.
A quick look at the ATI web site makes it appear that they don't post
any linux drivers for laptops, but you might see if the regular
ATI Radeon drivers work on it?
In any case, the problem is definitely an issue with your OpenGL drivers,
so that's the thing to try replacing/updating/etc.
