Back when I was trying to do this, CVS was required. The instructions
for downloading the plugins via CVS are at:
http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Research/vmd/doxygen/cvsget.html

I found out by doing a search in google. It's not that obvious that
this is what you are supposed to do.

The good news is that the reply time is fast (when I checked email a
few hours later, John had already sent me my cvs password.)

Request:

To clarify this issue, can the webmast modify the main VMD download page?
It is located at:
http://www.ks.uiuc.edu/Development/Download/download.cgi?PackageName=VMD
It would be nice if it contained a link to the instructions for
downloading the "plugins" code (the CVS page above).
