Hi,
I made a small change to the Raster3D scene export code which
avoids the problem. The change is based on a suggestion in an
email sent to me this morning by Nicolas Le Novere.
The fix changes the Raster3D output file to use two-sided
materials for all of the VMD geometry. At first I didn't
think that this would be necessary, but after thinking of
various possible cases where people might want to render the
inside of an MSMS surface, it is clear that there isn't much
of an alternative, but I'm going to do some experiments and see
if I can make the Raster3D export do a better job. I'm testing
this all with the Raster3D 2.6e version from the Raster3D web site,
downloaded this morning.

Thanks,
  John Stone
