I thought the problem will be rather in computer graphics than in VMD! :->

A supporting argument for your opinion is that from my Windows notebook,
the "Lines" representation are displayed correctly from both, the local
and remote machines. When on the local PC, VMD works fine. The problem
is only when connecting from the local to the remote machine and running
VMD there.

Below I have pasted the `glxinfo` from the local machine. Remote will be
in the following e-mail. How do I get to know the video driver on
Mandriva 2007?
